This Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Lens Canon version is a wide-angle prime lens with a f/1.4 maximum aperture. The f/1.4 aperture allows for a good amount of light to pass through making the lens a good choice for use in low-lit environment. It also helps to achieve shallow depth of field and selective focus effects. This lens optical composition features both asperical and low dispersion elements thus providing image sharpness and clarity by controlling spherical and chromatic aberrations. A floating elements system is also used to maintain performance throughout the focusing range while a Super Multi-Layer Coating helps to minimize flare and ghosting for greater contrast and color accuracy when working in strong lighting conditions. This lens is designed for use with full-frame Canon EF-mount cameras. It can also fit and work with the Canon APS-C models to provide a 56mm equivalent focal length.

To produce smooth, quick and quiet autofocus, the Sigma 35mm has a Hyper Sonic Motor with full-time manual focus override. A nine-blade diaphragm helps to achieve a pleasing bokeh in the images. This lens physical construction features a brass bayonet mount with a seal to guard against dust and moisture to protect the lens.

Note: This lens is compatible with the optional Sigma USB Dock for fine-tuning different lens characteristics and updating its firmware.
