The Nikkor Z 85mm f/1.8S is a short-telephoto prime lens characterized by a flattering focal length and aperture of f/1.8. With a maximum it can easily strike a balance between speed, weight and size. The Z 85mm has been coated with both Nano Crystal and Super Integrated Coatings which help reduce ghosting and flare for better color fidelity and provide a higher contrast.

Has a bright f/1.8 Maximum Aperture which works well in difficult lighting conditions with an increased control over depth of field.

Dust-and Moisture-Resistant 

Has a specialized electromagnetic aperture mechanism for greater stability.

The Nikkor Z 85mm has a programmable control ring which has been set by default to adjust manual focus and still be used to control both exposure compensation as well as control aperture.

The lens also has two extra-low dispersion elements which reduce color fringing significantly and chromatic aberrations which help produce greater clarity and color rendering.

The lens is made for portrait-length and specifically designed for FX-format Z-mount mirrorless cameras.
