Overview of the ZHIYUN MOLUS G200 Bi-Color LED Light

The MOLUS G200 Bi-Color LED light from Zhiyun is a small but quite powerful continuous video light with a professional feel at the palm of your hands. It has an output of upto 300W when the MAX Extreme mode is used and has the bo-color light output capability. At 0.99 kg/2.2 pounds, this light is small enough to fit into tight or small spaces where larger lights won't fit.

This light is designed with the chip-on-board (COB) LED technology, contributing to it's high output capability. It offers a variable color temperature of 2700 to 6500K and dims from 100 to 0%. At 5500K,the output lux is 9390 at 3.3' and can rise to 60,700 lux at 3.3' with the included reflector. The color reproduction is also proficient at ratings of CRI 95, TLCI 97, CQS 94, TM-30 Rf 94, and TM-30 Rg 101.

You can control the light from a distance on your smartphone via the app or onboard. The supplied controller is detachable from the light's body. It has two interactive buttons and a display screen for simple and quick management of the light's settings. For remote operation, the ZY Vega app lets you control dimming and switch presets using your smartphone. Five built-in presets for easy one-press color temperature and brightness adjustment. The controller measures 6.5 x 4.9 x 2.3".

Light Modes

There are three modes with this light: Normal, Music and Live Mode. These can be used to enhance your shooting experience. With the fixture's built-in microphone, the Music mode can create a dynamic experience for your audience.

It's applications include in video shootings as well as photography work. This light requires AC power to work. For cooling, the G200 uses the DynaVort Cooling System, a system comprising of a heat sink and a FOC fan to cool the light during operation and avoid overheating. Additionally, the light is Bowens-mount compatible, meaning you can use it with a wide range of modifiers. The light's integrated arm is 180° adjustable for easy positioning while an umbrella slot makes the light flexible when choosing a modifier to use.

MAX Extreme Mode

This mode enables you to increase the light fixture's output when you need extra power for more brightness. Under normal usage this light produces an output of up to 200W, but with this one-press mode, it delivers a peak output of up to 300W. At 4300K, the MAX Extreme mode brightness is 13,800 lux at 3.3', and can rise to 85,800 lux at 3.3' with the included reflector.
