The amaran Halo 200x Bi-Color LED Monolight is a powerful 200W COB LED lighting fixture that builds on its predecessor, the amaran 200x, with increased brightness and improved performance. It delivers up to 10,530 lux at a distance of 1 meter (3.3 ft) while maintaining a wide 85° beam angle for broader, more even light distribution with reduced hotspots. Its bi-color design offers an adjustable color temperature range of 2700K to 6500K, allowing users to seamlessly switch between warm tungsten and cool daylight lighting. The light also features smooth, stepless brightness adjustment from 0% to 100%, providing precise control to suit a wide range of shooting conditions.

Designed with simplicity in mind, the Halo 200x features an intuitive color TFT display with a streamlined menu system, along with dedicated brightness and color temperature knobs for quick adjustments directly on the fixture. Remote operation of upt to is available via Bluetooth using the amaran mobile app, which supports built-in NFC one-tap pairing for fast and convenient connection. Multiple Halo-series lights can also be paired through the app before they are powered on, making multi-light setups easier to configure. For professional production environments, the light also supports wired DMX control using an optional USB-C to 5-pin DMX adapter, allowing integration with industry-standard lighting consoles and software for synchronized cues, repeatable lighting scenes, and multi-light control.

The Halo 200x is powered by a single 5metres AC power cable, eliminating the need for external power supplies or ballast units. This all-in-one monolight design helps reduce cable clutter while simplifying setup and transportation. To enhance creative possibilities, the fixture includes nine built-in lighting effects that simulate a variety of real-world lighting scenarios. These effects include Paparazzi, Fireworks, Lightning, Faulty Bulb, TV, Pulsing, Strobe, Explosion, and Fire, enabling users to create dynamic visual effects without additional equipment.

The light delivers exceptional color performance with professional-level ratings of CRI 96, TLCI 97, SSI 84 (3200K) and 74 (5600K), and TM-30 Rf 94 / Rg 102. These specifications ensure highly accurate color reproduction, realistic skin tones, balanced warm-to-cool white light, and consistent color quality for both photography and video production.

An efficient active cooling system keeps the fixture operating at optimal temperatures while minimizing noise. Users can select from Silent, Smart, and High fan modes depending on their working environment. In Smart mode, the fan operates at approximately 28 dBA, making the Halo 200x suitable for interviews, podcasts, livestreams, and other productions where quiet operation is essential.

The front of the fixture features a reinforced full-size metal Bowens mount, providing compatibility with a wide range of lighting accessories such as reflectors, Fresnel lenses, Spotlight SE attachments, softboxes, and many other Bowens-mount modifiers. An integrated tilting yoke with a built-in carrying handle allows for quick mounting, easy transport, and smooth angle adjustments when attached to compatible light stands measuring approximately 7 × 5.5 × 6.5 inches (including the mounting bracket).
