Overview

The YN300 III on-camera LED light panel from Yongnuo is a lightweight unit with a 5500K light output that can be mounted on a camcorder or DSLR camera. It offers two dimming modes (fine and rough), a power-on/luminance adjustment knob, an IR remote control, and two filters for changing the color intensity. An advancement on the preceeding YN300 and YN300 II LED lights, this panel allows for bluetooth-based smartphone remote control (via the downloadable app) up to eight fixtures or group of fixtures.

It can be powered via Sony NP-F series batteries (not included) or via an AC adapter (also not included). It has a display at the back of the light panel that shows the remaining battery power. With three mounting options, this light has the option of being mounted onto a flat surface using the mini-plate, on a camera/carcorder via the hot shoe, or handheld using the included handle. The included IR remote control and smartphone RC work up to a range of 49'.
