It offers 2TB of storage capacity with read speeds of up to 2000 MB/s and write speeds of up to 1800 MB/s, making it ideal for transferring large files, editing videos, and handling demanding creative workflows. Its slim aluminum design is lightweight, durable, and easy to carry, while the IP54 rating provides protection against dust and water. The drive is also drop resistant up to 6.6 feet, making it suitable for travel and mobile use. For added security, it includes Lexar DataShield with 256-bit AES encryption to help protect sensitive files. The SL500 is compatible with Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, gaming consoles, and cameras. It also supports direct 4K60 ProRes recording on compatible devices such as the Apple iPhone 15 Pro and Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max.To achieve maximum performance, the host device must support USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 (20 Gb/s). Apple devices, including Thunderbolt and USB4 systems, support up to 10 Gb/s, so transfer speeds may be lower on those devices.
