Overview

The Crane 2 is motorized 3-axis handheld camera stabilizer from Zhiyun-Tech meant to support DSLR as well as mirrorless cameras during shooting. With the included standard quick release plate, you can mount your camera on the gimbal, balance it, and shoot for up to 18 hours on the supplied batteries. A rod-mount mechanical focus motor is included and can be controlled via the gimbal's handwheel or an optional remote control for the Crane 2. It can be aligned to the focus or zoom ring of your lens for follow focus or zoom control. Among other included accessories are a support rod, USB cable, and two universal lens gear rings for attaching and connecting the focus motor and using it with as many lenses as possible.

This gimbal provides for digital follow focus control through the gimbal handwheel for select Canon DSLR cameras as well as the Nikon D850 with compatible autofocus lenses. With the camera mounted on the gimbal and connected with the included USB cables, make a few settings adjustments and you will have direct follow focus control without an external motor.

For the gimbal's movements, it can achieve 360° pan, 320° tilt, and 360° roll adjustment with different shooting modes for extra creativity. Full-range POV (this is a camera locking into a single position and following your movements on all three axes) mode enables 360° synchronous movement on all three axes. Additionally, you can adjust the gimbal settings via the onboard control buttons and view the changes on the OLED display. For safety, a "slow-fall" feature protects your camera from a sudden drop when the Crane-2 is powered down.
