Overview

The Light Dome III from Aputure is a bowens mount softbox for your light upgraded to have a dual-sided quick release mechanism and a honeycomb grid to control light spill. Using it to modify directional light makes the light dome III suitable for head shots, portraits, interview and fashion photography. The softbox diameter size is 90 cm with 16 steel rods holding the fabric and a silver interior for reflecting light. It is meant for use with Aputure lights as well as a wide range of other lights that are compatible with a bowens mount.

The light dome is 60 cm deep, hence producing focused and directional light that can be narrowed further for selective lighting with the included 40° foldable grid. Aputure provides two cloth diffusers with this softbox, 1.5-stop and 2.5-stop, that you can use individually or all at once for softness and contrast options.
