Overview

The new CANON EOS R mirrorless camera is the latest camera from Canon. This camera is a cross between a Canon EOS 1D X Mark III DSLR and the Canon EOS R5, combining 1D-series build quality with speedy 30fps burst shooting when you use its electronic shutter.Canon EOS R5S/R3’s megapixel count is lower than 150mp”, but that it doubles the 45mp sensor in the upcoming Canon EOS R5. This camera is most ideal for sports or nature photography.

Full-Frame Stacked Sensor and DIGIC X Processor

24.1MP BSI Stacked CMOS Sensor

The Canon R3 is full-frame CMOS camera offering you upto 24.1MP. It has a back-illuminated design offering more light which helps reduce noise, give you smoother color rendering in low lighting as well as high clarity.

DIGIC X Processor

The Canon EOS R3 comes with an updated DIGIC X which compliments the new sensor allowing for simultaneous high-speed tasks which include 30 fps high-speed shooting. This processor helps to realize a broader sensitivity range. It also comes with an expandable IS0 50-204800 which allows you to work in different lighting conditions.

Electronic Shutter

The Canon EOS R3 comes with an electric shutter function which helps shoot up to 30 fps upto 150 raw frames with virtually no rolling shutter distortion. It also has a manual shutter that allows and offers  atop continuous shooting speed of 12fps and comes with a buffer of more than 10000 frames.                       

Body Design

Professional-Body Construction

The Canon R3 boasts of a robust and ergonomic body design which comes with an integrated grip for a more improved comfort especially when shooting both horizontal and vertical. It features a smart controller and a multi-controller for a better handling experience. Due to its large body design, the camera uses the LP-E19 battery which provides a longer shooting period.Its body build is also similar to the EOS-1D X Mark III.

Dual Memory Card Slot

The Canon R3 accommodates a CFexpress Type B slot and a UHS-II SD card. When shooting in 6K, the CFexpress Type B should be given more priority while the SD slot is considered as back up.

Connectivity

The camera has a 1000BASE-T Ethernet interface as well as RJ-45 port for a fast and secure hardwires connection. You can use a smartphone to share your files directly from your directly with over 5G networks.

Multi-Function Shoe

The Canon EOS R3 comes with an updated conventional hot shoe which adds a row of pins at the front offering greater accessory functionality and provide power allowing you to select accessory types.
