Overview of the Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III VXD G2 Lens

Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III VXD G2 for Sony E-mount cameras is a standard zoom lens for wide-to-portrait-length range applications with an updated optical design and improved focusing system. With a bright aperture of f/2.8 coupled with refined optics and improved sharpness when compared to the previous generation, this lens is able to provide it's user with higher resolution images. It also incorporates the VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) mechanism for faster and more precise performance for both stills and video shooting. This updated lens has also be refined physically, can focus from a shorter distance (18cm/7.1") and has a new connector port for streamlining the process of working with Tamron Lens Utility software to adjust lens settings.

This lens is designed for use with full-frame Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras, however, it can be used with APS-C models where it will provide a 42-112.5mm equivalent focal length range.
