Overview

The Canon XA65 encompasses similar traits as its predecessor, Canon XA45. It is compact, lightweight, has UHD 4K capture and has a 1/2.3" CMOS sensor as well as two XLR audio inputs which come with a mini-HDMI as BNC 3G-SDI output which makes it ideal for production. The lens includes an integrated 20x 4K/HD optical zoom with an eight-bladed circular iris offering more natural highlights. The camera also features a 3.5" touchscreen LCD screen, DV 6 image processor with high sensitivity and low noise. The camera can output up to 1920 X 1080P10-BIT 4:2:2 video at 59.94 fps with a mini-HDMI and 3G-SDI outputs. The camera also features two XLR inputs which come with phantom power as well a 3.5mm stereo mini input. It also features a built-in stereo microphone with a headphone jack.

4K 20X Optical Zoom Lens

The Canon XA65 camcorder's lens easily covers a 29.3mm wide angle(35mm equivalent) which comes with a powerful 612mm reach. In order to reduce any shakiness, the camera utilizes the Canon's Dynamic IS 5-axis image stabilization. The camera also has a 20X optical zoom and 800x magnification.

Canon 4K Sensor 

The 4K sensor and DIGIC DV6 image processor which helps deliver crisp, sharp UHD images, with  an 8-blade iris which achieves cinema-style out-of-focus highlights.

UVC Live Streaming

With the Canon Xa65 you can stream HD video directly from the camera via UVC1 with either a windows or macOS computer.

Fast, Precise Focusing with Face Detection

The camera features adjustable focusing speeds with an advanced Hybrid AF system which helps proves fast and precise focusing. It also uses the ultrabright high-resolution 3.5" LCD in order to set focus by touching the AF point on the screen. It also has face detection AF and Face Tracking as well as manual focus which you can set through the zoom/focus ring.
